Some like heaven but heaven 4.0 I think is too stressfull for single card solutions. I also want to mention, I like to stress test the overclock with unigen valley benchmark on extreme settings. Here is evga precision, I have it set to boot with the oc, so you can just deselect that.Ĭheck this guide out for more help, its labeled gtx 670 but the same applies for the 660ti I personally like to use either msi afterburner or evga precision and neither one of those programs will automatically boot with the overclock unless you select it. If I remember with the gtx 6xx series stock voltage was 1.175v and nvidia allowed for 1.200 which is very safe for these cards. The difference with the PE edition is that it lets you increase the voltage on a few items like memory and vrm volts. For all you know you might have one that overclocks better than a PE version. The following two GPUz shots show temperatures when the fan is in AUTO mode and when maxed out.Ĭonsumption is good and our overclock cost only about 10W.The gtx 660 ti oc edition can overclock just as good as any other, its all luck. Once the fan is sped up to 80 percent, you’ll definitely hear it, but it still won’t be too loud. The cooler was never loud while in AUTO mode and never exceeded 61 percent. In order to squeeze out more performance, we sped up the fans manually. It’s important to note that we could’ve scored the same results with AUTO fan mode, but the fan wouldn’t go much higher, which would result in lower Boost clocks. It appears as if the memory could take more, but we didn’t have more time for overclocking. We overclocked the memory by 200MHz (effectively 800MHz).
The memory handled GPU overclockingn well. The GPU ran stable at Base clock of 1050MHz (Boost clock). We managed to get GPU clocks similar to those on GTX 670 cards.
To mark the launch, EVGA even made the new skin, picture below. We used PrecisionX tool, which of course supports the GTX 660 Ti. For our overclocking, we sped up the fan to 80%. The fan is not very loud and working next to a GTX 660 Ti superclocked 2GB is quite comfortable, even when the card is under full load.
